The importance of setting

George Saunders - Puppy
Saunders is the ultimate post-postmodnernist: hilariously ironic but also tender and sympathetic. There’s a Netflix film based on ‘Escape from Spiderhead’ coming out soon, but my favourite stories in Tenth of December are probably ‘Sticks’ (393 words) and ‘Puppy’ (just under 3500 words).
